Happy birthday, J.K. Rowling! Which of her seven Harry Potter novels do you think is the most satisfying read?

my favourite book is DEFS harry potter and the goblet of fire. it's lovely !

here in order, are my favourite harry potter novels (excluding the seventh one because i only read it once:

  1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

  3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  4. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

the worst MOVIE is the third one, though the care of magical creatures scene is one of the best in the entire SERIES.

I’m walking down the street and it starts to rain. I don’t have an umbrella. But that’s alright. I don’t quicken my pace or shield myself from the drops of water. I’m not afraid of rain. I’m not afraid of change. I don’t have an umbrella. I don’t need one.

50 words was inspired by a tumblog with the same name.
it's a story in fifty words

The Twilight movie comes out today. A lot of people are really excited about seeing Bella and Edward on the big screen. Others couldn't care less. Where do you fall on the issue?

LOL TWILIGHT GETS ITS OWN WRITERS BLOCK?

i'm on the fence with this one
twilight is kind of a fail, but i'm still going to go watch it.
the books are pretty stupid. they're really cheesy, but that's kind of what i like about it.
the first and second books seemed like...they were written using a template or something.
i have my own opinions about the plot/characters though
so i 80% hate the fandom that is twilight
fandoms make me hate things.
and 20% love it..partly because of robert pattinson tehee.
i hate edward though. jacob ftw.

Have you ever gone back and re-read a book you loved as a child only to find it incredibly disturbing now that you're an adult? Like The Giving Tree, for example: a terrifying tale of self-sacrifice or a reassuring story of maternal love?

tears fall from our eyes like leaves on a tree.

every childrens book has a deeper meaning, it's kind of ironic, because when you're a child, you don't have the kind of problems those kind of books depict.
only when you're a teenager and your life basically sucks will you understand the message.

and another thing i learned from OELC; don't ask critical questions-it takes away from the magic.

good writers block, i must say
